CallHand ("CallHand," "we," "us") provides AI-powered call answering and text message notification services for small businesses. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to gocallhand.com and to the CallHand service.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you join our pilot list or create an account, we collect your name, company name, mobile phone number, and email address.
- Call data. When CallHand answers calls on your business line, we collect and store call recordings, transcripts, caller phone numbers, and the job or message details captured during the call, in order to deliver summaries and maintain your call log.
- Technical data. Basic website analytics such as pages visited and browser type.
How we use information
- To provide the service: answering calls, generating job summaries, sending you text message notifications, and maintaining your call log.
- To communicate with you about your account, the pilot program, and service updates.
- To improve the accuracy and reliability of the service.
Text messaging (SMS) terms
By providing your mobile number on our sign-up form, you consent to receive text messages from CallHand related to your account, including call and job summaries, pilot program communications, and service notifications.
- Message frequency varies based on the volume of calls received on your business line and account activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@gocallhand.com.
We do not share or sell your mobile phone number, SMS consent, or text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used solely to deliver the service you signed up for. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver messages (for example, our telecommunications provider).
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate CallHand (such as cloud hosting, telephony, and text message delivery providers), and only as needed to provide the service; when required by law; or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
Call recording
Calls answered by CallHand may be recorded and transcribed to generate summaries and maintain your call log. As the business owner, you are responsible for complying with any call recording notice requirements that apply to your business and callers in your jurisdiction.
Data retention and security
We retain account information for as long as your account is active and call data for as long as needed to provide your call log, after which it is deleted or anonymized. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@gocallhand.com.
Children
CallHand is a business service and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or text.
